Home Away From Home:

Our facilities have several areas inside and outside in which our residents can entertain friends and family members or just to go and relax and enjoy all that nature has to offer. At Medford, residents can enjoy Amelia’s Gardens which is a park, beautifully decorated, with the added benefit of an enclosed Gazebo within the center of the Park. At Oakhaven, residents can enjoy the Courtyard, which is also a beautifully landscaped garden filled with picnic tables and benches. At Morrell, the resident’s Dining room easily converts into a sitting parlor. The outside of this area is a landscaped courtyard with ceramic benches alongside a sidewalk decorated with flower bearing trees and bushes. Regardless of any disability, all individuals need fresh air and socialization. We understand that and thus have set aside these areas for their pleasure.

It is our goal to enhance the quality of life of every resident through an active social atmosphere, and by allowing each resident to fulfill a sense of accomplishment. We train our staff members on customer service and on how to ensure that respect and dignity is provided to the resident at all times.

Resident’s Rights

We continuously remind our staff members of the rights that residents have in a nursing center. Furthermore, we explain these rights to the resident or the family member upon moving into any one of our facilities. Lift-Free

In order to assure the safety of each resident who needs assistance with transferring in and out of a bed or a wheelchair, and to reduce the potentially damaging effects of physical lifting for our employees, we have implemented a “Lift-Free” policy. We have purchased between six to nine mechanical lifts at each facility that can assist someone with a slight limitation to someone with full limitation.
